Implemented under the EU4Health Programme, the XDSI_NS Joint Action supports Hungary’s continued participation in the MyHealth@EU digital service infrastructure (eHealth Digital Service Infrastructure – eHDSI) by expanding it with four new cross-border services.
The European eHealth Digital Service Infrastructure (eHDSI) provides patients with continuous cross-border care and Member States with a secure, efficient, and interoperable exchange of health data.
The European Commission’s EU4H work programme supports the enhancement of cross-border document exchange with new services through the MyHealth@EU infrastructure.
MyHealth@EU services are provided via a network of national contact points (currently known as national contact point for ehealth which will change to digital health with the EHDS regulation) and the underlying central services provided by the European Commission.
The project enables the secure, interoperable exchange of the following new document types:
- Original Clinical Documents
- Laboratory Results
- Medical Images and Image Reports
- Hospital Discharge Reports
- Patient Summary and ePrescription services are already operational within MyHealth@EU. XDSI_NS focuses specifically on extending the infrastructure with the four additional services listed above.
